What made you decide to take part in the PowerCamp challenge?
To lose weight and get my health back.
Did you have a goal when you started the PowerCamp challenge? If yes, what were/are they?
To see if I could get stronger in 8 weeks.
Have you reached a goal or have you achieved what you originally set out to do?
Sort of, I have got to lose a lot of weight.
Regardless of your whether you achieved the goals you set, how do you feel in yourself after completing the challenge? E.g. stronger, more confident etc.
I am more confident, stronger and happier.
What was your perception of functional training before you started? Has it changed after participating in the challenge?
My daughter had told me, so I knew what it was all about.
What are your fitness goals for the future?
Lose weight, get healthy and be stronger.
Biggest obstacles you have had to overcome during the challenge?
My own problem of being so overweight and clumsy, and not worrying about what other people may be thinking.
Has the challenge helped you maintain motivation toward your training, if so, how?
I can feel how much stronger I am and how happy I am as well – I feel great.
What would you say to someone considering trying PowerCamp for the first time?
I am 62 and this is the first time I have done this – I love it! I would tell anybody who is overweight (or not) with arthritis to give this a go. With trainers like Vicki, who helps you so much and understands. Give it a go, you won’t be sorry!
